The November issue of Fashion magazine featured a glowing review of Espace Pilates Gym, a Montreal-based studio teaching the STOTT PILATES method. “Owner and instructor trainer Stéphane André, a former dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, has created a stylish, relaxed space that focuses on the body's performance — not just its appearance.” Read the article

STOTT PILATES Assistant Program Director Stefania Della Pia was featured in the Oct/Nov issue of Glow magazine in an article that discusses the importance of proper breathing techniques when working out. Look for a STOTT PILATES Professional Reformer in the new HBO television series 12 Miles of Bad Road, starring Lily Tomlin. Lily performs a Pilates workout on our equipment during a pivotal scene set in a gym.

A: STOTT PILATES cannot guarantee that CECs will be issued for courses or workshops not pre-approved. Please allow four to six weeks for STOTT PILATES to review your request. You will receive confirmation by mail or email. If you do not receive confirmation, please contact us.

Side Leg Lifts with the Fitness Circle  


WARM UP FIRST
Remember to start your workout with a warm-up.

STARTING POSITION

1 SIDE-LYING in a straight line with head resting on bottom arm. Fitness Circle resistance ring on the floor with both feet inside circle.


EXERCISE

To prepare, INHALE...


2 EXHALE Tighten abdominal muscles and press top ankle against the Fitness Circle.


3 INHALE Release tension on the Fitness Circle.  


Complete 5-8 repetitions

1 starting position. inhale to prepare, then...

2 exhale. press top ankle up

3 inhale. release tension
