The Studio:
Studio One Pilates has a staff of 6 other fully certified instructors and hosts an intern program for STOTT PILATES trained instructors to work in a viable environment prior to testing.


Instructor Trainers:
CHYREL LOVE MILLER is the owner of Studio One Pilates and a professor emeritus from Missouri State University. Studio One was started in 1999 and became a Licensed Training Center in 2000. Chyrel has been an Instructor Trainer since 2000 and a Rehabilitation Instructor Trainer since 2007. Chyrel has a Master's Degree in Biomechanics and Kinesiology and specializes in Rehabilitation and Senior Pilates. Chyrel has worked within the medical community as a consultant and instructor for health care providers. Her interest in dance, sports and movement studies have been a compliment to her work with STOTT PILATES.

SHAUNA SMITH has been the studio manager for Studio One Pilates since 2005 and holds a BA degree from Drury University. Shauna has been an Instructor Trainer for the last - years. Shauna has experience with sports specific training and is a marathon runner and artist.

TRACY MAXFIELD has been an Instructor Trainer for - years and holds a Master's degree in Choreography from University of Northern Carolina, Greensboro. Tracy will finish Massage therapy training in 2009 and has continued his interest in neurological massage and movement therapy studying in New York with Irene Dowd. Tracy teaches anatomy and kinesiology for the Professional Massage Training Center in Springfield, MO.

DIANE NACHTIGAL began her STOTT PILATES training in 2006. She became a fully certified Instructor in August 2007 and completed her Instructor Trainer certification in Matwork and Reformer a year later. As well, Diane has training in Injuries & Special Populations and Rehabilitation. She strives to provide all her clients with an enjoyable and productive workout.

PREREQUISITES
The intensive courses above are recommended for certified fitness instructors, personal trainers, and other fitness & health professionals who want to expand their knowledge and enhance their business. Applicants must have, at least three years experience teaching fitness, dance or movement, familiarity with the works of Joseph Pilates, formal anatomy training and a working knowledge of muscle origins, insertions and functions, in order to attend the course.

NOTE REGARDING EXAMS
You are not obliged to write (and pay for) two exams if you are planning to take both courses. You may choose to wait until completion of the second course to write your exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam). If you prefer to pause between courses, you may choose to take an exam to become certified in Matwork only, and another exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam) after completing the second course to become certified in Reformer work. In this case two exam fees would apply.
