The Studio
Located in the West End of Richmond, Virginia, the studio is 1,800 square feet and features a complete line of STOTT PILATES equipment as well as a fully-equipped yoga studio.



Instructor Trainer
Owner, KIMBER McQUEEN began dancing at age four and holds a BFA in Performance & Choreography from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BA in Sociology from James Madison University. A certified STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer, Kimber has been teaching pilates for seven years. She is also an avid student of the Alexander Technique, a mind-body technique to improve posture and reduce physical tension. Drawing on her background in dance and bodywork, she has developed a clear and precise teaching style dedicated to helping her clients achieve measurable results.

Once on Staples Mill Road look for small shopping center "Staples Mill Center". Blance Pilates Training Center is located on the far left side.

From the North
Follow Interstate 95 into Richmond. Take the Interstate 64 West Exit towards Charlottesville. Take Exit 185-Staples Mill Rd. (Rt. 33) off of 64, bear to your right on the exit ramp and take a right onto Staples Mill Rd.

From the South
Follow Interstate 95 into Richmond. Take the Interstate 64 West Exit towards Charlottesville. Take Exit 185-Staples Mill Rd. (Rt. 33) off of 64, bear to your left on the exit ramp and take a left onto Staples Mill Rd.

From the West
Follow Interstae 64 into Richmond. Take Ext 185B onto Staples Mill Rd. off of 64.

From the East
Follow Interstae 64 into Richmond. Continue to follow Interstate 64 toward Charlottesville and take Exit 185-Staples Mill Rd (Rt. 33), bear to your left on the exit ramp and take a left onto Staples Mill Rd.

PREREQUISITES
The intensive courses above are recommended for certified fitness instructors, personal trainers, and other fitness & health professionals who want to expand their knowledge and enhance their business. Applicants must have, at least three years experience teaching fitness, dance or movement, familiarity with the works of Joseph Pilates, formal anatomy training and a working knowledge of muscle origins, insertions and functions, in order to attend the course.

NOTE REGARDING EXAMS
You are not obliged to write (and pay for) two exams if you are planning to take both courses. You may choose to wait until completion of the second course to write your exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam). If you prefer to pause between courses, you may choose to take an exam to become certified in Matwork only, and another exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam) after completing the second course to become certified in Reformer work. In this case two exam fees would apply.
