I am very happy with all my Stott Pilates equipment and this is a great unit for saving space.  
I have a small studio, but a lot of equipment!  I sometimes need to fit in 5 people on the various apparatus.  I have a wall unit and spring wall and 2 additional spx reformers, so it's ideal when I do a 1/2 cadillac; 1/2 reformer class.  The person on the spx max plus doesn't have to switch locations.  
That being said, I'm not so sure it was worth the price.  The engineering of this unit is different than my wall unit.  For push thru lying on your back it's better since there's more room between the clients head and the push thru. But for springs from below there's not quite enough tension, since there needed to be an attachement closer to the ground.  Also, the upper attachemt for the springs from above is kind of problematic.  It's hard to find an ideal place to attach it that doesn't make a noise when in use cause it's banging against something else. The travelling pulleys get in the way in this respect. And, couldn't they have thrown in an extra pair of springs for the price!  My wall unit came with a covered pair of springs for below and a separate pair for above at a fraction of the price. Here, you have to use the same set of springs for both. I don't have any opportunity to use those pulleys.  But if you work a lot privately or have a bunch of these units it adds variety and different angles to challenge your clients. The travelling spring attachments are convenient except you are limited when you want to switch from arm springs to leg springs (you can't attach both at the same time like on the wall unit). The whole unit also doesn't have the same sense of stability as the wall unit.  It feels less stable probably since it's only attached at the bottom and not to the wall. 
On the other hand, the spx reformer part of this unit is great. I have two other regular spx's and they are much more econimal than the professional ones and relatively easy to move around the room.  My studio functions as a family room as well and I can move and stack everything pretty efficiently. The new retractable ropes for this spx max version make adjusting those quite easy and efficient. So, that's improvement over the regular spx reformers. I'd also suggest ordering a tall box with any spx reformer which will give more height since this unit is lower to the ground.
Bottom line - it's a great unit if you are looking to save space.  The design isn't perfect though and the fancy extras in my opinion don't justify the high price. If I had the space I'd purchase the wall unit and reformer separetely, which is probably more economical as well.
