Heel Squeeze Prone        Be certain to warm up before exercising. Read these important cautions
STARTING POSITION
Begin lying face down on your stomach with abdominals and glutes contracted to keep proper alignment of the spine and hips. Knees bent so feet are facing the ceiling and legs apart slightly wider than hips. Feet flat with heels together and toes pointing out. Hands under forehead, palms down.

EXERCISE
To begin…
INHALE to prepare, then...

EXHALE keep abdominals and glutes contracted so the spine and pelvis don’t move and squeeze heels together.

INHALE slowly release tension between heels, keeping them together.

Complete 8-10 repetitions

FOCUS
keep abdominals, glutes and hamstrings contracted to prevent spine extending or hips moving
avoid tension in upper shoulders
Place the Fitness Circle• resistance ring between your ankles to increase resistance and challenge in this exercise.
