The Studio
Instructor Trainers, Michael and Karen Christensen, run Denmark's only STOTT PILATES Licensed Training Center, with a fully equipped studio in Aarhus, Copenhagen and a hosting site in Silkeborg.
Michael and Karen Christensen are committed to helping people from all walks of life develop their natural physical strength and balance through STOTT PILATES. As well as being the training facilitator for a number of professional dancers, singers, musicians and individuals from the sports elite, their primary studio in Aarhus has been integrated into the local city life and holds an important role in the rehabilitation of persons with all kinds of needs related to the rediscovering of body empowerment. Likewise, they meet the demand for quality training of private individuals looking for unique physical coaching in grounding techniques.

Instructor Trainer
MICHAEL CHRISTENSEN started his career as a classical ballet dancer at the age of 22. Before that, he went to a school for talented young singers for 10 years, and had success as a competitive swimmer. His classical ballet career brought Michael leading roles at the Danish "Pantomime Theatre" as well as work with modern dance companies in Denmark. Later, after completing an education in Physical Education, he became interested in the STOTT PILATES education and he became the first STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer in Denmark. Since 2003, Michael has been teaching and presenting STOTT PILATES in more than 10 countries. His intensive travel activities bring back an international atmosphere to the studios in Denmark, as Michael's professional interaction with different cultures reflects on this ability to meet people where they are, embrace differences and encourage full resources of his audience to understand, teach and perform.

Instructor Trainer KAREN LOUISE CHRISTENSEN started training classical ballet at the age of seven and has studied with some of the world's finest teachers. She has danced in companies in USA, Denmark and Holland and ran her own dance school "Dance Factory" in Copenhagen. Karen has been involved in movement therapy since completing her education as a Psychomotor Therapist in 1981. In 2003, she became the second STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer in Denmark. Karen has taught ballet or STOTT PILATES in nearly all the major modern dance companies in Denmark, plus as a guest teacher for dance companies in Sweden and Hungary. Today, Karen is the executive director for Natural Balance Pilates.
