TEASER exercise 1 .......... Be certain to warm up before exercising. Read these important cautions

STARTING POSITION
Lying on your back in an imprinted position. Legs are parallel and together, straight on a diagonal as low as your imprint can be maintained, toes are gently pointed. Arms are long overhead as far back as possible while still maintaining contact with theback of ribcage and mat, shoulder girdle is stabilized.
EXERCISE
INHALE slide scapulae/shoulder blades down back and reach arms toward ceiling. Then sequentially roll spine off mat, one vertebra at a time, to balance just back of sit-bones, reaching arms toward feet, with a slight curve in lower spine/lumbar and lengthened upper spine. Reach arms by ears.
EXHALE initiate by rolling pelvis away from legs and sequentially roll spine down to mat through imprint, arms by ears, back to starting position.
Complete 3-5 repetitions

FOCUS
Roll through imprint by articulating each part of spine sequentially off mat when rolling up and again during roll down.
In V-position, lengthen upper spine and reach arms by ears (use abdominals to stay slightly back of sit-bones and keep lower spine/lumbar slightly flexed, avoid gripping in the front of the hip and losing pelvic stability).
Articulate pelvis away from legs as roll down begins, lengthening the front of the hips.
Maintain abdominal connection to keep pelvis stabilized throughout.
Stabilize scapulae throughout roll up and roll down as well as during arm and leg movement.
