STOTT PILATES is recognized by the American Council on Exercise, Can-Fit-Pro, the College of Massage Therapy of Ontario as a continuing education provider.
GRADUATE COURSES

If you have successfully completed STOTT PILATES Intensive or Comprehensive courses and want to expand your repertoire of skills to challenge the fittest of clients, you are encouraged to work towards Level Two STOTT PILATES Certification by completing the relevant Advanced Repertoire courses.


GENERAL COURSE OBJECTIVES

Review of relevant essential and intermediate level exercises

Application of STOTT PILATES biomechanical principles

Essence, muscular initiation and sequencing of advanced level exercises

Multiple variations for variety and intensity

Program design for highly trained clients or athletes

Effective cueing and motivational techniques


ADVANCED MATWORK REPERTOIRE [AM]

breakdown of 10 advanced level matwork exercises, in addition to the general course objectives.

prerequisite: IMP or CMR

course duration: 6 hours of instruction conducted over one day

CECs: .6 ACE


ADVANCED REFORMER REPERTOIRE [AR]

breakdown of 35 advanced level Reformer exercises, in addition to the general course objectives.

prerequisite: IR or CMR

course duration: 18 hours instruction conducted over three days

CECs: 1.8 ACE


ADVANCED CADILLAC, CHAIR & BARRELS REPERTOIRE [ACCB]

breakdown of 47 advanced level Cadillac, Chair and Barrel exercises, in addition to the general course objectives.

prerequisite: ICCB or CCCB

course duration: 12 hours instruction conducted over two days

CECs: 1.2 ACE


INJURY & SPECIAL POPULATIONS [ISP]

equips you with the skills and in-depth knowledge required to address a broad range of physical challenges among your clients. Successful completion of this and all Advanced courses is required for Full STOTT PILATES Certification. At the completion of this lecture-demonstration course, you will be able to customize your clients’ workouts to address particular weaknesses, conditions, postural problems or injuries.

course objectives:

How to address a variety of injuries, weaknesses and conditions including lower back pain, spinal conditions, hip and knee replacements

Treating shoulder problems, neck and shoulder tension, fibromyalgia, arthritis, pregnancy

Application of appropriate STOTT PILATES biomechanical principles

Workout design for personal training programs and specialty classes

Appropriate modification of matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels exercises

Effective communication, visual skills, verbal cuing and imagery for client motivation

prerequisite: IMP or CMR

course duration: 24 hours of instruction, 16 hours review and practice teaching conducted over four to six days
