STARTING POSITION
Lying on your back with upper body curled off mat. Imprinted position. Legs straight toward ceiling, together and parallel, and toes gently pointed. Hands reaching toward ankles, scapulae stabilized.

EXERCISE
To prepare, inhale...
EXHALE reach one leg down to mat to hover, bringing other leg to body and pulsing twice with breath. Reach hands toward top ankle.

INHALE start to switch legs by reaching them to ceiling so they pass each other in mid-air.

EXHALE reach opposite leg down to mat to hover, other leg to body, pulsing twice.

INHALE start to switch legs by reaching them to ceiling so they pass each other in mid-air.

Complete 8–10 repetitions then....
To finish...

INHALE bring legs together and reach toward ceiling.

EXHALE return body to mat.

FOCUS
-- ensure engagement of abdominals throughout exercise and keep abdominals flat

-- reach both legs away from each other with emphasis on increasing reach with pulse

-- avoid movement of pelvis

-- maintain feeling of reaching legs further through pulse rather than bouncing movement
