Split-Pedal Stability Chair
with Stefania Della Pia, Thursday, March 23 | 8:30-12:30pm

This workshop will introduce participants to a variety of exercises on the STOTT PILATES Split-Pedal Stability Chair. A selection of exercises will be covered that highlight the capabilities of the Chair, utilize all its features (including the handles and the split-pedal function) and form a well-rounded workout. The Chair offers the opportunity to do functional exercises working against the spring resistance in a variety of positions, particularly standing, and an opportunity to train core stability while working bilaterally, unilaterally or reciprocally with the limbs. Cues and corrections to ensure safety and effectiveness will be discussed.

Intermediate Matwork: Biomechanics, Cuing & Correcting
with John Garey, Thursday, March 23 | 1pm-5pm

Prerequisite: Essential STOTT PILATES Matwork Workshop or previous experience teaching or studying pilates matwork exercises

Focus on the details of cueing and correcting many of the more difficult matwork moves in this Intermediate Matwork workshop. Select exercises will be broken down to identify the specific joint movement and muscular action. Learn cueing tips and modifications to help your clients progress into this more challenging work while maintaining good form. Review observation skills and verbal cues and see real changes in the way your clients move.
