The Studio:
Bay Pilates offers numerous Mat; Reformer; and Cadillac, Chair & Barrels courses; as well as workshops, examinations, and continuing education. In addition to Instructor Training, Bay Pilates offers clients private; semi-private; Reformer and Matwork Classes.
Situated in an idyllic setting in the leafy suburb of Walmer, Port Elizabeth, this fully equipped STOTT PILATES studio offers clients and students a visual and auditory feast. The studio is situated in a newly renovated, quaint home with wooden floors, ample en suite accommodation, and large open-spaced studios. The tranquil atmosphere is guaranteed to envelope you.
The garden has a swimming pool; 2 water fountains containing frolicking fish; lemon trees laden with lemons; chilli plants heaving with the weight of robust red chillies; and last but not least, a beautiful olive tree with black mission olives on it. Gardens are tranquil and peacful-the perfect environment to focus; relate; study; and of course; relax.

Instructor Trainer
Owner/Director LISA PALMER, followed her dream to become a fully certified STOTT PILATES Instructor. She invested in the full range of STOTT PILATES equipment, with the intention of penetrating the fitness, exercise, and rehabilitation industry in Africa.
Lisa is committed to the STOTT PILATES method and helping people from all walks of life find their natural strength and balance, be they exercise enthusiasts, thrained athletes, or people in dire need of rehabilitation.
Invited to attend the STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer course in Toronto, Canada, Lisa became the first Instructor Trainer on the continet of Africa, and now owner of the first and only STOTT PILATES Licensed Training Center in Africa.

Getting There
Fly to Johannesburg (O.R. Tambo International) or Cape Town International, take a connecting flight to Port Elizabeth airport. Bay Pilates offers a pick up and drop off service to the airport, as part of the course package.

Accommodation Availability
Bay Pilates has accommodation available at the studio; including en-suite bedrooms; swimming pool; laundry service and a car for students to use. Shopping and restaurants are within close proximity; as are beautiful azure beaches; hiking trails; game farms (including the Big Five); and magnificent weekend getaways.


PREREQUISITES
The intensive courses above are recommended for certified fitness instructors, personal trainers, and other fitness & health professionals who want to expand their knowledge and enhance their business. Applicants must have, at least three years experience teaching fitness, dance or movement, familiarity with the works of Joseph Pilates, formal anatomy training and a working knowledge of muscle origins, insertions and functions, in order to attend the course.

NOTE REGARDING EXAMS
You are not obliged to write (and pay for) two exams if you are planning to take both courses. You may choose to wait until completion of the second course to write your exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam). If you prefer to pause between courses, you may choose to take an exam to become certified in Matwork only, and another exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam) after completing the second course to become certified in Reformer work. In this case two exam fees would apply.
