Position Overview:
The web programmer is responsible for managing content on a large corporate website. This includes but is not limited to creating static and dynamic web pages, e-blasts, timely updates to information, ensuring links are functional and the website is user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
|
- Create and maintain web pages based on direction from the Marketing/Design and IT Departments
- Create custom emails used for blasts as well as creating templates for different areas of the business
- Employ strategic web and search engine optimization
- Document projects and provide status/summary reports
- Act as a technical resource and web consultant
- Collaborate with interdepartmental staff
- Involvement in executing e-marketing strategies including tracking measures
- Ensure that information is updated in a timely manner
- Develop banners for promotions

- 3+ years of web programming
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed aesthetic sensibility, and understanding of visual communication
- Able to work well within an in-house “agency like” environment
- Proven web programming and digital technical abilities
- Attention to detail
- Strong project management skills

Proficiencies:

Experience:
|
- Current internet standards, including Web browsers and browser specifications
- HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, Javascript
- Adobe GoLive, Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash
- Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator definite assets
|
|
- 3+ years in Web development
- Mac and PC platforms
- Working in a Mac-based environment
- Managing website content
- Web optimization
- Executing e-marketing strategies
- Streaming audio and video
- Dynamic Web content
