Design Director

Are you creative? Do you pride yourself on your unique designs, great sense of style, excellent computer skills and attention to detail? The STOTT PILATES creative team is seeking an individual to fill the role of Design Director on a full-time basis.

• The Design Director will be responsible for the development of original creative concepts required for advertising material including print adverting, direct mail, flyers, product packaging branding and logo design.
• Within this role you will be responsible for the evolution of creative concepts from initial development through to execution.

• In order to successfully complete projects this role requires the development of a strong working relationship with numerous internal departments as collaborative projects are a large portion of this role.
• This role will also mentor and manage a team of designers in order to complete departmental goals.

• Post secondary degree or diploma in art or graphic design
• 10+ years of experience in a design/art director role
• Expert/Advanced knowledge of MAC OSX, Quark Express, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Ability to work under pressure and rise to creative challenges under tight deadlines
• Web design skills are an asset
• Excellent sense of style, color and design, creativity and imagination
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to accept criticism and collaborate other professionals

• • Strong knowledge of digital and offset print processes
  • Understanding and knowledge of advertising and marketing practices
  • Results- and people-oriented with excellent communication, organizational and managerial skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage details, efficient work habits, and flexibility
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in an open office environment, including the ability to accept interruptions as part of the routine
  • Proven management ability
