Senior Marketing Coordinator

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for coordinating high-level marketing initiatives under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications. You will manage various marketing projects and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing brand management, corporate messaging, copy writing, social media, public relations, special events, media buying, and intellectual property management for a leading fitness company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Director of Marketing & Communications

  • High-level coordination within media planning team

  • Assist with high-level coordination of advertising contracts

  • Analysis of ad content for specific marketing audiences

  • Copy writing (advertising, promotional and marketing materials, corporate communications, articles, product descriptions etc.)

  • Coordinate development of ads and production process

  • Coordinate brand guidelines updates and enhancements

  • Review and evaluate Intellectual Property materials

  • Coordinate public relations initiatives and special events

  • Key contributor to website content and updates

  • Coordinate and manage social media program


Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely execution of daily marketing communications tasks and play a pivotal part in the MarComm team

  • High-level coordination of special projects for corporate branding, product launches, sponsorships, product instruction manuals, media relations, collateral materials, direct marketing, e-marketing, website content and design, social media, trade shows, seminars and event promotion public relations and internal communications

  • Coordinate the review, analysis and enhancement of marketing plans and policies to proactively accommodate changing business requirements

  • Coordinate and manage the policing of Intellectual Property

  • Assist with ongoing corporate brand development

  • Assist in managing relationships with key stakeholders to determine business objectives

  • Assist with strategy for production, sales, educational services, event marketing, and internal creative teams

  • Coordinate and track metrics and success criteria for marketing programs and activities

  • Help coordinate and manage internal and external communication activities relating to publicity and crisis management

  • High-level coordination of media activities and special events

  • Assist in the development and management of social media strategy

  • Coordinate and manage SEO initiatives including Google AdWords campaigns.


Required Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Relevant degree
  • 5-7 years in a marketing position
  • Experience and demonstrated success working with marketing, communications, and design professionals
  • Experience (or familiar) with social media networks; setting up online communities
  • Strong track record as a high-level participant in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment
  • Excellent writing skills

  • Passion to roll up your sleeves, organize and execute daily projects within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects, moving easily from strategy to implementation
  • Attention to detail; excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Brand development and management experience
  • Business-to- business marketing expertise
