Retail & Web Sales, Supervisor

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, Retail, this position maximizes the B2B and B2C account base for retail products, with particular focus on increasing online sales including the stottpilates.com website. Responsibilities include regular follow-up with web and bricks & mortar accounts, visiting key accounts and creating promotions / marketing opportunities to increase sales. This position has a lot of admin responsibilities with 80% in-office account management and 20% sales pitching and client visits.



Key Responsibilities:


WEBSITE SALES DEVELOPMENT

  • Increase presence and sales of the STOTT PILATES retail brand on several international websites including the stottpilates.com website
  • Create and execute retail promotions with account list of websites (maximizing visibility of STOTT PILATES brand positioning, value added promotions, etc.)
  • Source and pro-actively target new international website partners to increase STOTT PILATES sales


ORDER ENTRY & CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • In conjunction with Customer Service Reps, ensure purchase orders, returns, mis-shipments, invoicing issues, late payments, damages and defectives are handled in a time-sensitive manner
  • Review daily updates on all major direct accounts including target.com, amazon.com, sears.com, etc.
  • Follow up on account-specific customer service issues


SALES SUPPORT & ACCOUNT FOLLOW-UP

  • Set up new accounts: providing terms and conditions, discounts, contracts, etc.
  • Deal with retailers to fulfill sales and sample requests
  • Notify clients of new releases, monthly specials or any other pertinent information (new calendar, new product colors, etc.)
  • Target new customer channels and follow up to secure new business
  • Make pro-active sales calls (to warm retail leads)
  • Follow up with or delegate retail leads brought in from trade shows


MARKET RESEARCH & MARKETING

  • Liaise with the Art Department to ensure completion of marketing materials and ensure required deadlines for account-specific programs are met
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of STOTT PILATES equipment, DVDs and accessories
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of competitive products
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications & Experience: 

  • A minimum of 3-5 years order entry and customer service experience
  • A minimum of 2-3 years handling coordination and logistics of VMI accounts, including sales into retail accounts like Walmart, Amazon, Sears and other national vendors
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of fitness and video industries
  • Direct sales and customer service experience

  • Strong writing, editing, listening and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to shifting priorities
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and, FileMaker Pro
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
