Key Account Manager, Retail

Position Overview:

STOTT PILATES is a market leader in the fitness industry. We are an equipment and education services provider who is known worldwide for its high quality Pilates brand.  We are looking for highly motivated sales talent who will keep STOTT PILATES a market leader and help us continue to experience worldwide growth.

Major Responsibilities: 

  • Target and contact new business opportunities
  • Develop business with existing accounts
  • Manage client needs to meet STOTT PILATES’ overall business objectives
  • Manage incoming requests for sales assistance
  • Develop proposals for new and existing clientele
  • Engage in cold calls to potential clients regarding hospitality packages
  • Negotiate commercial deals and price levels with the major account counterparts under your responsibility
  • Present to your major accounts our products, marketing programs, promotions and promotional activities
  • Prepare and present quarterly business reviews and propose business plans that will secure and/or surpass the objectives
  • Develop and cultivate your clients and business networks
  • Manage your accounts to maximize profitability while adhering to the related budgetary limitations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, additional languages an asset
  • Able to construct and deliver business proposals and presentations
  • Experience with retailers and category management practices
  • Knowledge of the fitness industry would be an asset
  • Previous experience with CRM would be an asset but not mandatory
  • Experience interacting with customers in a sales environment that involves cold-calling, warm-calling, trade show interaction, demand creation and/or account management
  • Ability to travel to site locations and trade shows
  • A highly driven, self motivated personality who shows perseverance and can overcome objections to achieve sales targets in a results-oriented environment
  • Adept at up-selling and cross-selling to increase overall sales and profitability
  • Relevant Sales Training or continued education on best practices would be an asset
  • Excellent planning and organization skills required
