Instructor Trainer
ALAINE OWEN, owner of Basic Principles Pilates, began working in the fitness industry in 1997 as an aerobics instructor and personal trainer. She was introduced to Pilates in 2001 becoming a STOTT PILATES Certified Instructor in 2004 with full certification completed early in 2008. In 2005, she opened her studio in Clarence, New York - the first in the area providing a full array of STOTT PILATES equipment, classes and instructor educational opportunities.
Alaine has degrees from Boston College and the University of Buffalo. As an Instructor Trainer, Alaine strives to share her love of learning with the participants in her classes.
Mother of five and sole owner of a business, Alaine understands fully the complexities of today's life. Her goal is to provide each person who studies with her the understanding, motivation, patience and support necessary to fulfill their objective of becoming the best STOTT PILATES instructor possible.
"Hearing my clients' and students' feedback is my greatest motivation. To know that I challenge each one of them to meet their goals while they continue to describe me thoughtful, perceptive, and understanding inspires me to go to work everyday. Beyond their words, witnessing my students develop the ability and skills necessary to assist their clients in reaching their objectives is immensely satisfying. It confirms that I have dedicated myself to a profession in which I can change people's lives forever."
--Alaine Owen

NOTE REGARDING EXAMS
You are not obliged to write (and pay for) two exams if you are planning to take both courses. You may choose to wait until completion of the second course to write your exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam). If you prefer to pause between courses, you may choose to take an exam to become certified in Matwork only, and another exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam) after completing the second course to become certified in Reformer work. In this case two exam fees would apply.
