Instructor Trainer
DANI GONZALEZ ARES is currently Ireland's only resident STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer. She was born in the Netherlands to Spanish parents and is fluent in a variety of languages. As a youngster Dani was involved in a number of sports. Dani was a keen swimmer and gymnast and was competitively involved in karate and horse riding. Unfortunately Dani suffered a back injury due to a horse riding accident, which made walking very painful for approximately a year. After many hospital visits Dani decided to take her recovery into her own hands and started weight training daily for the following years. It was in this period that Dani discovered Pilates. Dani moved to Ireland in 1994 and is the co-owner of Fitness 4 U Personal Training and Pilates Centre in Dublin. Dani combines her sports knowledge with other qualifications as a Personal Trainer and Massage Therapist gained over the past decade.

JOSEPH McCARTHY became a STOTT PILATES Instructor Trainer having completed his training in Canada in 2009. Joseph has worked in the fitness industry for over 12 years. He has worked in health clubs as a Gym Manager, Group Exercise Instructor and Personal Trainer. Over the past three years, Joseph has tutored a range of fitness and nutrition based courses and workshops with Litton Lane Training.
Based in South County Dublin, he teaches Pilates to groups and on a 1 to 1 basis in both private and corporate settings. He is also a qualified Neuromuscular Physical Therapist. He works with a variety of clients to improve their fitness level, posture, rehabilitation and pain management.
Joseph has a sports background in running, Rugby, Martial Arts and strength and conditioning.

NOTE REGARDING EXAMS
You are not obliged to write (and pay for) two exams if you are planning to take both courses. You may choose to wait until completion of the second course to write your exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam). If you prefer to pause between courses, you may choose to take an exam to become certified in Matwork only, and another exam (a combined Matwork and Reformer exam) after completing the second course to become certified in Reformer work. In this case two exam fees would apply.
