Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications

Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Marketing & Communications, the Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications will formulate, direct and manage product marketing, advertising and channel-specific programs and initiatives, within a team environment, in support of our Education, Full Solutions, Commercial and Retail lines of business.


Major Responsibilities

  • Strategic and tactical market planning for commercial, consumer and online channels
  • Product and category management inclusive of market/customer research, new product introductions, pricing, sales support and product lifecycle management
  • Contribution to the timely delivery of marketing communications programs and deliverables: print collateral, creative, direct mail, print advertising, web site/e-store, communications, events and sponsorships, packaging
  • Provide content leadership to the STOTT PILATES web site and e-commerce program
  • Corporate brand development and Intellectual Property management; identify and establish opportunities for brand-building
  • Act as Marketing contact for Distributors, Licensed Training Centers and other STOTT PILATES partners

  • Utilize qualitative tools and techniques to develop marketing programs that provide value to the customer and support corporate revenue and growth objectives
  • Develop strong internal relationships with various stakeholders – sales, production, creative, education services and event marketing to address key business issues and set objectives
  • Develop and track ROI metrics for all marketing programs and initiatives
  • Develop and manage the print advertising strategy and coordinate annual ad spend
  • Exposure to SEO, social media strategy and pay-per-click campaigns
  • Directly manage a Marketing Coordinator, ensuring timely compliance and use of performance appraisals and goal-setting
  • Some business travel may be required

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Relevant university degree
  • 5+ years of marketing experience with demonstrated success in commercial and consumer channels (B2B & B2C)
  • Experience building revenue through an online, e-commerce model
  • Strong track record as a leader in a team-oriented environment; desire to be part of a globally recognized, market-leading organization
  • Excellent balance of qualitative and quantitative skills
  • Exposure to identifying and establishing customer care initiatives

  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects, moving swiftly from strategy to execution
  • Experienced in managing relationships, negotiating with key stakeholders and delivering on contracted entitlements
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written; strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Global marketing and/or fitness industry experience considered an asset
